Seattle area construction look ahead
The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.
This week's highlights:
- March 9 - 12: Northbound I-5 exit to Madison Street closed during replacement of expansion joints.
- March 10: Metering of Mercer Street on-ramps to I-5 begins.
- March 10 - 11: Intersection of Denny Way and Dexter Avenue North reduced to one lane in each direction.
- March 17: St. Pat's Dash and St. Patrick's Day Parade will close streets in Downtown and South Lake Union.
- March 24 & 25: SR-99 viaduct closed 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. between Denny Way and South Spokane Street for semi-annual inspection.
- March 24 & 25: Southbound I-5 reduced to one lane at night between SR-520 and Stewart Street; Mercer Street on-ramp closed.
- March 24: March for our Lives rally and march. 9 a.m. rally at Cal Anderson Park followed by 11 a.m. march to Seattle Center.
