Seattle area construction look ahead
The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.
This week's highlights:
- July 26 - 27: Full closure of SB I-5 from Stewart St. to Yesler Way, traffic shifts to Express Lanes Fri 11:59 p.m. - Sat 5 a.m.
- July 26 - 29: Montlake Blvd NE reduced to one lane in each direction at Husky Stadium, Fri 7 p.m. - Mon 5 a.m.
- July 26 - Fall 2019: Aloha St. closed between Minor Ave N and Valley St. for detour prep, 24/7.
- July 27: Seafair Torchlight Run and Parade will close streets in Seattle's South Lake Union, Downtown and SODO neighborhoods.Run starts at 6 p.m., Parade at 7:30 p.m.
- July 29 - Aug. 16: John St. closed between 6th Ave N and 7th Ave N, 24/7.
- Aug. 2 - 4: Seafair Weekend Festival.Hydro races, airshow and music & entertainment at Genesee Park along the shores of Lake Washington.
- Aug. 2 - 4: Annual community festivals and parades in Seattle's Lake City, Magnolia and Central District neighborhoods.
- Aug. 2 - 4: Northbound SR 99 Tunnel closure for joint and pavement repairs, Fri 11 p.m. - Sun Noon.
- Aug. 8: Seattle Seahawks host the Denver Broncos in pre-season football.Kick off at 7 p.m. at CenturyLink Field.
