Seattle area construction look ahead

The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.

This week's highlights:

  • March 4 - April 4: Alaskan Way will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Yesler Way and Madison St. for approx. 30 days.
  • March 5 - 8 & March 11 - 15: NB Aurora Ave will be closed from Denny Way to Harrison St., 9 p.m. - 5 a.m.
  • March 9: Seattle Sounders host Colorado Rapids at CenturyLink Field, 7 p.m.
  • March 14 - 17: Emerald City Comic Con at Washington State Convention Center.
  • March 16: 48th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in Downtown Seattle, 12:30 p.m.
  • March 16: Monster Jam at CenturyLink Field, 7 - 11 p.m. Pits open 12:30 - 5:30 p.m.
  • March 17: St. Pat's Dash starts and finishes at the Seattle Center, 8 a.m.
  • March 23: Supercross at CenturyLink Field, 7 p.m. - 11 p.m. FanFest hours: 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
  • March 23: All tunnel buses to transition to surface streets permanently.
