Seattle area construction look ahead

The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.

This week's highlights: 

Highlights:

  • May 5: Annual Opening Day of Boating Season Parade will close the Montlake Bridge from approximately 12 to 4 p.m.
  • May 5: 1 p.m. Sounder match at CenturyLink Field followed by 6:10 p.m. Mariner game at Safeco Field.
  • May 11 - 14: Lane and ramp closures on northbound I-5 between S. Michigan Street and Olive Way.
  • May 13: The Color Run will close streets between the Seattle Center and downtown Sunday morning.
  • May 14: Phase 2 of 23rd Avenue Corridor Improvements Project begins. Southbound traffic detoured to MLK Jr. Way S. beginning May 16.
  • May 18 - 21: Lane and ramp closures on northbound I-5 between S. Michigan Street and Olive Way.
  • May 19 & 20: University Street Fair will close University Way NE between NE 50th St. and NE Campus Pkwy.
