Seattle area construction look ahead
The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.
This week's highlights:
King County currently remains in Phase 1 of Gov. Jay Inslee's 'Safe Start' reopening plan. Accordingly, all special events, sporting events, and concerts have been canceled, postponed, or rescheduled until further notice, unless noted below.
- April 27 - TBD: "Stay Healthy Streets" now covering twenty-three miles in several Seattle neighborhoods.
- May 4 - Mid-June: Paving work on N 50th St. and N 40th St. in the Green Lake and Wallingford neighborhoods.
- May 26 - June 20: S Main St. closed between Alaskan Way S and 1st Ave S for waterfront construction. 24/7.
- May 31 - TBD: Public Safety Zone - no vehicular traffic permitted. 3rd Ave to 7th Ave east to west, Union St. to Stewart St. north to south. 24/7.
- June 8th: Construction begins on Delridge Way SW for the new RapidRide H Line and other improvements.
- June 18: Full closure of the SR99 Tunnel. Thur 9 p.m. - Fri 4 a.m.
